Display @ Tiny Shop in Double Punch

Thank you Wadiefong for the photos :D & of cos Antoi for the ultra cute display! I love the pegs idea.

Because I’m stuck in Sunny island Singapore and can’t be in San Francisco, it meant a lot to me to see how my darling are doing in the show. ^___^ It’s my first show too! That’s why I’m all anxious!

I’m a happy girl now, even though I can’t be there but it’s great to see the other artists’ works too! Some of them are really tiny~

profile in tinyshop now ^^

The date to the show’s opening is getting close and it’s good to see my profile up in tinyshop’s site. Hearing that my items had reached the gallery drop the big stone in my heart, I was worried that it might get stuck some where. :P

Now I can only wait and hope that everyone will have a good time at the show and someone will bring my darlings home with them. ^^ *fingers crossed*

Visit the blog for profiles of the artists and for other details. :D Below were extracted from tinyshop

tinyshop celebrates the preciousness of “mini” — the shortest distance between 2 points, the space of minutiae, and creative endeavors on a small scale.

Curated by Antoinette Celes, tinyshop is a pop-up shop & art show event to be held at double punch gallery in San Francisco’s North Beach district. Fun-spirited folks and magnifying glasses most welcome.

Happy Dolls converted to Vonvonz Handmade

October 31st, 2007 vonvonz Posted in News No Comments »

After a long time, I had been unable to think of a way to merge both crafting and doll crafts together… I love Happy Dolls but it is really limited to toys for dolls to me. I would like something that is for the human and doll. And also not losing my involvement in the project…

So I’ve finally settled down with Vonvonz Handmade. I love handmade items, gifts.. etc. I think they are something that is One of a kind in the world. Whether or not the artist/crafter made it to make a living or not, it is different from factory made items. I get involved with each and every project I made, starting from brain storming, researching, making mock-ups, getting feed backs to final production. The whole process could be slow, but I am enjoying every single moment.

The other moment I enjoy the most would be someone in this world who is able to connect with my creation and bring it home to them. What’s even better is the ones who brought my creations home to them taking pictures of them in their new home and sharing the photos with me. I feel really touched with their kind gesture.

Most of the time I will re-make plushies but even if they are re-makes of the same pattern, they still look different and feel different. That is the special thing about handmade items. They look different every single time! Not one is identical to another. That makes them one of a kind in the world. At least that is what I feel.

I am not a person that is good with words, so I hope anyone who is reading this can understand me. I want to share my joy with people in the world and hope that they will share their joy with me after they bring my joy home with them.

Love,
Evon Lim
